Wife and I were standing outside day before yesterday and could hear some bikes really gettin' it on Hwy 465 (Ozark Mountain high Road) outside of Branson. From the sounds were definately into the triple digits.
Well, a few moments later hear police sirens galore. Couldn't tell how many but there were quite a few taking chase.
Just wondering if anyone "knows someone" who might have been invovled.
I used to hear bikes running 465 alot. haven't so much lately. Great road to stretch out the legs on a bike, but sounds like someone got busted.

a friend of mine told me that, that road is where they used to go to open them up but the cops started to patrol that road and giving tickets so its not a good idea anymore

I've been wanting to take a quick trip down the high road ever since I got this 600RR on the road. Now it's starting to not sound so fun. I've used the highroad a number of times in the car and have never seen anyone patroling it. Of course I hardly ever see any cars on it either.

Yeah, is that "WarpZone Road"? lol. That is what we called a road in Cali where you could do the entire road without going under 100 MPH. That was some crazy ****t

I did the road in the Explorer keeping 85 MPH only drifting with sound like 4-5 times. SWEET!

Its a fun road for sure, my friend was just casually cruising it at about 90 and this state trooper finally caught up to him and was pissed, my buddy had no clue that the cop was after him and the cop had been hauling ass to catch him, it was a hell of a ticket with quite a few hours of comm. service Bo if you remember him, tyler pyle is the one that got that ticket

I don't run from cops, etc. so I don't know this answer.... but if you pass a cop on that road doing 135 MPH, is he going to even try, or just radio ahead, or just say "oh well"?

their cruisers only go 135 mph so they will just radio ahead at that point... hopefully they can toss a good enough description and hopefully they will have a unit close by to intercept the person going that fast

Also, I have heard they may hit the recorder (video) if so equipped and can later zoom in the images to get a plate #. (if you have on one....) Second, some carry binoculars or equivalent and if they can will look for your plate or definative descriptor.
I don't know any of this as fact, but heard that and sounds plausible.

my friend tim passed a cop doin 120ish cop radioed ahead and began a pursuit. they set up a road block and caught him, he was charged with evading arrest or something like that and was taken to jail even though he had no idea anyone was chasing him

hasn't anyone heard of you play you pay??
If you are doubling the speed limit and a cop sees you doing it and starts chacing you, what do you think you are gaining by running and getting away? yes you are getting out of that ticket but the next guy that he catches is probably going to get the book thrown at him for a minor offence. plus giving the rest of sportbikers a bad name.

The kind of person that runs doesn't really think about the consequences.
