CBR600RR recall

have any other 600RR owners recieved a letter from honda recalling all 2003-2004 CBR600RR's due to the rear brake linkage being susceptible to corrosion? what does that mean exactly? has anyone had their brakes fall off?

I haven't seen the letter but I bought mine used. I wonder where that leaves me?:confused:

Yeah but it's more of a yellow and black considering I've been piecing it back together. I'd like to get it painted but I can't seem to get my self to tear it back apart.

i dont ride currently, i was in a bad motorcycle accident and i cant use my right arm, not to mention my bike was totaled

Doesn't matter if it was bought new or used Honda still has to take care of a recall. All you have to do is contact a Honda dealer about it or even easier I bet you can find out about it on Honda's website.

BTW the breaks aren't going to fall off it. Corrosion in a brake systen is generally rusting inside of the caliper.

Thanks for the invite webtwkn, but I have to work 11-8 and I have my kids in the morning. Are you painting the whole bike or just fixing the right side? I'd like to see how it turns out.

I got a recall letter in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Just haven't made an appointment yet to get it fixed.
