Ok, girlz I don't hear much from many of the girlz on here and don't get a chance to meet up with any of you...

so how was your summer riding? Any stories to share? Any new experiences to share? Any tips to share?

Sorry, B - no advise from me - except always wear safety gear. :) I haven't been on a bike in about 6 yrs., so no stories, either. I'm just a fan of many riders, and am a semi-silent observer, mostly. :) I hope you had a fun summer, though. And I'm SURE you have stories....

Hey Bredget. Unfortunately I haven't ridden AT ALL this year! Hard to believe but it's true. If I don't get the bike sold though I'm just going to start riding it again. I hate seeing it. Glad you had such a successful year with the bike. Congrats at your Hallett improvements!

We all know that I just like to be sarcastic! Anyway, no stories here. Like Frank's Wife I am an observer, and believe me that is sometimes enough!! ;) Anyway, this summer actually flew by before I realized it, so no interesting stories.

I've been busy building a bike, crashing the bike, and now rebuilding the bike! New motor will be in soon, and I'll be back on the road.

Well girlz, I have had a good summer. I have gotten to meet a lot of new people and put some faces with some names.

I went to the track a few times, finally got a little comfortable so I can start working on my times now. I thoroughly enjoy going to the track and getting better at riding. I had my first crash in June and broke my wrist but got right back up and learned a lesson (DO NOT grab a hand full of break….lol)

I got to ride in the evenings some with new people and that was fun. I love meeting new people and I don’t get out much due to school and work and kiddos. Thanks to those that I rode with, had a great time. I have ridden with some regulars on Thursdays and that was awesome to help break up the week.

I finally got the guts to go out and ride at the drag strip in Rogersville which is something I have always wanted to do. I learned another lesson there (DO NOT let out the clutch quickly and don’t rev up my RPM’s so high…lol) Had a blast and will continue practicing the drag as well as the track.

The most exciting thing I did this summer was teaching my two older children how to ride and getting little Timmy on a motorcycle. Timmy is loving riding and he got his own cool youth helmet, (Thanks to Sassy for helping us at Cruisin 66) which has a swmo sticker on the back of it. That was the highlight of my summer.

I have wanted to try and get some girlz together for some events but it has been very hard to do. I don’t see many of you out and I understand we are all busy beavers….lmao ;) I have been speaking with Chic Riders of Missouri which has a chapter in St. Louis and I will be doing some work for them here in Springfield. They have a new president and she is very nice to work with therefore she has invited a few to come to their local meeting in STL on October 28th. I will be planning on going if work permits and finding out some more information. The president of Chic Riders of STL would like to spread out a bit and maybe combine Springfield and STL together and do some events here in Springfield. We will see what happens, but this is something I would like to get going for 2008. I think it will be good for our local women riders and good for our SWMO site. I have also been in contact with 96.5 and when we have events I will be letting them know and maybe they can help us out. McClain has been very gracious in keeping in contact with me for event schedules and they are willing to help SWMO out in our events or Chic Riders.

Girlz, My goal is to make our women riders more comfortable and more active in our community. I will keep you all posted throughout the winter and when 2008 rolls around everything should be rolling in the right direction. I hope each and everyone of you will be supportive and active, since you all are the reason we have women riders here in Springfield.

Hope everyone had a great summer and enjoy the weather while it lasts!

Can't go with you, but let us know how it goes. I went to the local Women on Wheels meeting, and found out I can't ride that slow!

I have a feeling that these girls don't ride very slow...lol ;)
Most of Chic riders are track racer, drag racers or stunters ;)

Looks like my bike doesn't want to leave my garage this fall, Breget. I can't seem to get it sold even at a killer price. I guess I may have to keep it a bit longer. ;) We should try to get a ride in sometime.

Blew a connecting rod a few weeks ago. Got a 750 to replace it! It looks NOTHING like the day you dropped it off!
