Moving PM's off-site

I've cleaned out my PM's once already, but I'm getting near the red zone again. Some of these I'd like to archive, for phone numbers, directions, discussions, etc. Is there a way to export these PM's from the site, so that I can file them on my local machine? Or do I need to cut and paste all 1600+ messages? :eek:

I wouldn't cut and paste, I'd just hand write them! :p

You can download all private messages in xml, csv, or text formats by using the links at the very bottom of the list of private messages. Personally I would choose xml or csv, as they are a structured format that you can then use to import into a reader at a later date.

Having said that, I am going to go ahead and bump up the private message limit to 6k for registered members as the 2k limit was an arbitrary number chosen to see how private messages affect disk space usage.
