Just don't tell the wife. Here goes.Turbo kit used $2700(4200 new).Rods and pistons $1400.Crank work, valve springs, studs $600.Fuel rail and injectors $450.Dyno tune $500.Then gaskets and other little stuff. But the engine should be good up to 600hp if I should upgrade the turbo later.Sill need to finish my air shifter and may need a lock up clutch($1200).Not cheap.:D:D:D

I still have the heavy clutch springs and slave support from when I had the turbo on mine. Who's kit did you end up going with? You did get that trans backcut right? Thats where my problem was with mine when me and Creek made the last few passes the air shifter wouldn't shift under a heavy load because the transmission was missing the first to second shift. Those spring are all you will need TJ I was making 320 on mine and didn't have any slipping issues.

Same exact kit I had. Motorhead is who installed my kit and tuned it.

Cause I blew the engine up and couldn't afford to replace the engine so thats the only way I could afford it. What happen was I made a pass and something wasn't right (wouldn't shift) so I let Creek make a pass cause he can foot shift alot better and it still wouldn't shift. All this time it was bouncing off the revlimiter when it wouldn't shift and ended up melting a piston and scoring a cylinder real bad. When Creek came back it was puking oil out the crank case real bad.

I've even took the extended swingarm off my bike went back to a true street tire since I don't come down there anymore. I didn't even make a pass last year. Might come down to the events they are having and see what I can do on a all stock bike.

320 hp is alot for stock engine.Did they upgrade your fuel system?Stock injectors and rail are good up to the 280 range.I am over built for the 300hp so I hope she stays together.I'll make sure I don't let CREEK ride the TURDO.:D:D

Should be fun once it's done.

Yes it had the s2000 injectors. Plus I was running 116 octane fuel. The air/fuel ratio was fine until its started shutting the injectors down and still building boost from it hitting the rev limiter.

TJ,

I have had a lot of trouble getting new projects to shift. It has ALWAYS been clutch slippage. I put a clutch sensor on the blower bike to help me get it figured out. When it's right it shifts. The VTX can't be back cut like some transmissions but I have done some cutting to open engagement time. I expect a lock up will be necessary.

When you get it running let me know how it works. No bars and 300 hp ought to be fun!
