Nice night last night

It was a beautiful night last night for all that got to enjoy it. I know I did that is untill the end. My neighbor and I were riding around town last night had a great ride untill we started heading home. We went south on 160 towards Republic and then went east on CC that is where the trouble started. Just to put it out there I may not have acted in a resonsible way but the guy just pissed me off. Here is what happened.

We turned off onto CC behind a white suburban so got a good opportunity so we passed him, no big deal. Now I usually run with my brights on and so was the other guy I was riding with we come up on this brown honda we wait untill there is a strait stretch and then my friend passes him and so do I, nothing big I just get way out in the other lane and pass him safely. Well I guess that it just pissed him off that someone passed him. I was riding when I looked in my mirror and he was way on my a$$ with his brights on I talking 6ft from my tire witch is a little to close for me. So turn around and look at him he just gets closer. At this point he has pissed me off and I quess I have pissed him off to so I slow down a bit. He comes right up to my back tire and and then tries to pass me. Me being pissed wont let him so he gets back behind me and then tries to pass me on the right and there is no shoulder. He almost hits me. This goes on for a while so I decide to let him pass. We get up to the stop light at the on off ramp of 65 He is between my buddy and I. The light is red so pissed off me goes up to confront him for almost hitting me and driving like a jackass. The light turns green so I tap on his car to get his attention. I did and he stoped and me buddy kept going. He opens his door and I blurt out What the **** is wrong with you? He gets out of car and let me tell you he was huge and I am not for those who do not know me I weigh 135 pounds and am 5' 10" not very big but also not a coward. He replies you you passed me back there and comes towards me and pushes me. I said so would you rather have my bright lights in your mirror. He is still coming towards me after I said that he tries to kick me but he is blocked then he calls me a punk a$$ kid and tells me he ought to kick my bike because I touched his car and turns toward my bike so I take a step at him and I turns his attention to me again and asks if I want a piece of him. I just stare at him. He starts to turn to his car and I move up towrds my bike and he comes at me again and I dont move, he gets close to me, calls me a punk a$$ kid again and kicks me in the butt. (I was turned a little) I did not flentch. Then says why dont you take that helmet off. What do you think I am ****ing stupid. Calls me a punk a$$ kid again and gets in his car. So I jump on my bike and jet out of there.


Most guys do not intimidate me but this on did. He was a very very big guy and I am not talking fat and I was all alone because my friend took way to long to turn around. Lesson I learned if you piss someone off let them go on there way or just make sure that they are not to big to where you can take them or think that it wont be such a challenge. Or you could just ride with more people and make sure they are with you when you confront the person.

Yes I mean NIXA I am in a constant state of confusion. But I do know that the Tiffany Highlands is off of Hwy14 not CC.

I'm not so sure this behavior has anything to do with motorcycles. I have had people do the same thing to me in my truck. There seems to be a growing number of people who have a problem with being passed. They want to drive 50 MPH on two lane roads and until someone wants to pass them and then they floor it when you try to go around them. On a motorcycle you probably don't even notice that they floored it, but in my 4 cylinder truck it can get really dangerous.

I think the guy got pissed becuase he couldn't play his little, 'You're not getting around me' game because you guy's got around him so fast so his only option was to turn on his bright lights and ride your a$$.

It took guts to confront the guy. You never know what your getting into when you do that. I worry more about the 5'2" guy with a gun than a big guy. I can usually out run a big guy if I I'm getting my butt kicked.

I hope that being confronted will make the guy think twice about doing the same thing to someone else. Or it could make the guy even more aggressive.. Irrational behavior is hard to predict.

I wonder how may 'single car accidents' are the result of some turd who didn't like being passed and caused the other person to crash and then just left. When that guy was riding your a$$ it was a life threatening situation. One mistake and your dead and he is in prison.

It's not like when I'm in my truck and someone is riding my a$$ with their brights on because they didn't like the fact that I passed them. If they make a mistake hit me from behind it's not as life threatening. As a result, when your in your cage and someone is riding your bumper because they are pissed, you can play the 'Lets see how good your brakes are' game. Like I said, irrational behavior is hard to predict.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I think these people are control freaks. They don't like to be passed and become irrate when they can't MAKE you drive 45 in a 60 zone.

Yeah, bringing a gun to a gun fight could get ugly. Showdown at high noon. First off I would never approach him in his car. You never know what he might do. I can see protecting yourself though. I guess the best thing is to let him approach you and if he does so armed then I would think it would be grounds for self defense. The best situation is..... to avoid that situation.

Maybe I should ride with my 10mm in plain view. Maybe that'll make them back off. Maybe we should carry a bunch of those triangular road spikes. Drop them for such a driver and see how long they ride your a$$. Almost seems worth while to teach them a lesson on how they are endangering our lives. But, I would feel bad however if it caused them to wreck and it killed innocent family members within the car and/or other people such as oncoming traffic. A big catch 22. I guess the main thing here is to pass with a fair amount of room.

You guys are right the best thing to have done is avoid the situation and not confront him but I was fed UP with people who do this and I just got really pissed off when he was on my ass. Actually what pissed me off is when he tried to pass me on the right and almost clipped my tire.

Its like honda guy said he was just pissed that we passed him. He was bound and determined to pass me. Hell when he did there was not 4 feet between his car and my bike I probably could have kicked his car. It is just rediculous. From prior events I know that a gun is not the answer but a stun gun yep that is the answer and I may have to look into it after this ordeal. As far as confronting him I usually do not think when I am that mad I just go for it. Trust me that is not a good thing sometimes.

I am not going to sit here and tell you guys some bogus story to make me look better. I quess I could say, "Yeah I threw him under the car, grabed him by the collar of his shirt, and started banging his head against his own bumper." No. If it happened again I would still have done the same.

Well how about we go back to the beginning. You were riding with your brights on, following someone. Both illegal in intimidating. There really is no need if you're following a car to have your brights on, especially with todays high intensity bulbs the newer bikes have. I'd say that's what really started this guys emotions going.

Maybe but I would rather run with my brights on then not be seen by some idiot and get killed. Also I will be going down the road and forget that they are on bright usually when I come up on a car and my lights are on bright I dim them. Plus I was not behind him but for a couple seconds. If that is what triggered it than I can see someone bright lighting me (which he did do), for what I have done to them no big deal that is fine but to take it to the extreme as he did no. He was pissed that I passed and when I did pass him I left him plenty of room all the way around. And to put it out in the open I DO NOT CARE what is legal and illegal so do not point out to me the petty illegal things in the f-uped law today.

Frank is correct. Here are some line items you all may want to take note of.

1. Cagefighter is now our first banned member. his IP is banned from registering or posting. There were 4 usernames registered to his IP. (Cagefighter, Bobo, kanerc51, and rathole)

2. If you choose to act and post like Cagefighter you too will be banned from this site.

3. If you have multiple usernames registered to one IP one will be deleted and you will be warned. (Unless you contact administration and have a legitimate need for multiple usernames)

4. Silverbullet, don't get all pissey about srtptman's post. The fact is you DID things against the law that would irritate any normal driver. Both of your actions were inappropriate and against the law. Petty or not it's still the law and you should appreciate the fact that it is designed for everyone's safety.
