I got a phone call from my ex-husband yesterday that made me cry happy tears!
My son Chase (14) has been working in California with his dad this summer and earning money. They were at an auto auction the other night and he kept eyeing a motorcycle and finally his dad asked him why he keeps eyeing the bike and Chase replied, " because I want to buy my own motorcycle so I can ride with mom..."
So the short story is: Chase bought a wrecked Suzuki 600 (don't know the specifics of it yet until he gets back this weekend from California) with his own money and will be fixing it up over the winter so when he gets his permit next spring he will be riding with me on the street and hopefully on the track as well!!!
I was very proud to hear that my boy shares the same passion as me and wants to share that passion with me as well!!
ok, I think I teared up AGAIN....LOL

That is great news!
One question though... Is the bike in California?

I know my daughter loves to ride also, but the money just isn't there right now for her to get her own bike and ride with me :( Can't wait til it is so I can get her out and riding also.
Truly a proud parent moment! I can't wait to get mine!!!

I completely understand and that is why he hasn't had a bike yet. He has ridden the F3's but I am actually glad he purchased his own because he will appreciate it more especially since he will be fixing it up over the winter!
Im telling you when that time comes you better have a box of Kleenex's...LOL I haven't got to see him yet but he asked me when I do to not squeez him to death from joy....LOL

AWW sweetie congrats! I'm happy that you will soon get to have a great experience with your son and you. I remember when my dad was so proud that I had learned that I wanted to be like him when I was younger and helping him on the farm. Then my mom was proud of me because she was a cheerleader & I became kind of a cheerleader but I picked up on DANCE & my parents didn't mind spending $3,000/yr & costumes it was something I LOVED & I WAS SO GOOD AT IT! It's the best thing in the world & one day I will get the same chance you just did! A proud momma. I look up to you a lot bredget!!!

Well at least we know that it won't be Clay teaching him how to ride! Maybe we can have a double lesson one of those pros can teach your son and clay at the same time! :p
