if anyone is interested in doing this again im ready to buy it

good luck, I called all over springfield looking for one and almost everyone is out. I found 2 at north town mall wal mart and my best friend and I bought them both.

cool, let me know how that goes. I've heard of people putting recordable drives in them and mega huge hard drives and just recording rental games to the hard drive. I have no idea how it would work but it sounds cool.

I have been told by a few people that if you Hack your XBOX that if you get on XBOX Live they (Live) can tell and will ban you from playing Live (online). Just what I have heard.

this is true thats why most modern xbox chips have an external switch that allows you to disable the chip


i have no interest in any xbox live games anyway

I got a modded xbox. just make sure you don't download the update and live files. That wipes out your mod chip programming when you try to play xbox live and you have to get a new one. If you guys need help with it let me know. One tip: if and when you get a harddrive get one that runs at 5600 rpm cuz anymore than that you may need to add some fans to the xbox.

you cant flash the chips bios and replace the lost programing?
