[FONT=courier new] I'm also looking for the best brand of slider guard bars that if you slide you don't mess up the fairing as bad. Any leads? Thanks RocketRay

There are several good brands out there just get some that you like that are at least 1 3/4" or 2" OD. I've used several different brands just get some that are made from Derlin (plastic) the aluminum ones have been known to bust the frame. Oh also if they offer "no cut" versions to avoid putting a hole in your fairing don't, I repeat DON'T, use that style the bracket they tend to use will snap off quite easily in a spill.

I've crased twice with that kind and even though they didn't snap off they did bend some both times and you can't replace just the bracket.

i crashed with the no cut sliders that were 3 inches long made out of plastc or whatever they were and they hled up good until the bike hit a curb at 30 mph or so. the bracket and motor bolt got ripped out of the motor. any frame slider you buy is worth the money. my bike would have been fine if it wasn't for the curb

Sounds like you needed Curb Feelers, as well as your frame sliders :D
