Cool pics....but doing that $hit on the highways is just plain stupid.

You are giving every sportbiker a bad name...whether you like it or not. :(

Actually its what I love to do, but I guess I shouldn't waste my breathe either. You are right though I could care less. All the speed racers out there give bikers a bad wrap as well.

It ever fails everytime I get on this site. Somebody is gettin on a stunta because he does what he loves. We don't jump on you for how you ride because I personally could careless how anybody rides. I love everyone's opinion's but remember opinions vary and at the end of the day we will have taken nothing you said to heart and it won't change how anyone rides. It seems like alot of people on here get off on getting on people, is your life that boring? That is all you can do. If it hasn't made people quit riding like that by now because it's giving you a bad name it probably isn't going to stop. It sounds like a bunch of girls gossiping everytime I get on here. It reminds me of those gossip shows like the view.

So what I'm trying to say is quit gettin on someone else for how they ride because it's not how you ride. We all ride for one reason because we love to do it. This reply won't probably do anything. But come on stop the gossip parties.:dblfng

If you've seen his avatar, then you've seen him ride. And yes it was taken at the track, in a controled environment :D

im with sean on this one. ive crashed more times going around corners than i have riding wheelies, and i do ride wheelies religiously. i am more comfortable on the back wheel than having my knee on the ground. i ride my own ride, you ride yours. to each his own.

All well and good.......But it's the morons stunting in traffic, either speeding while doing it, OR holding up traffic in a large pack, that have most recently gotten us where we are with the law.

Why not just perform your craft in an empty lot somewhere?

I'll point fingers at both groups..........I somehow manage to enjoy this sport without racing down highways, dragging knee on a backroad, or riding the back wheel.......showing a blatant disregard for fellow commuters, myself, and the law.

To each his own? Hmmm, great in concept, not in practice....There ARE guys that travel long distances to have sex with kids, for example. To each his own?. Extreme, yes.......but both your example and mine are illegal and pose a risk.

BINGO!

When I ride hard....I do it in an area where there are no cars around. Public roads out in the country. I'll ride those roads for hours and not see a single car. And if I do see a car, I slow down....and ride safely past them.

That is 10x's different than a big group of bikes standing it up on the highway with cars all around them. Huge difference.....huge. When I went down, the only person that knew about it were the people I told. Not a single person in a car saw it....because I don't ride hard when there are others around. How did I give "sportbikers" a bad name? Now if I dumped it in the middle of town trying to drag knee around a corner...then yes, that would be giving everyone a bad name.....but I don't do that.

It's not about "breaking the law"....it's about other peoples safety. Laws are just words on paper. Let's get real...everyone breaks laws.....but endangering peoples safety is different. When I go out and ride a country road hard...if something goes wrong (like it did a few months ago)...the only person that I was endangering was myself.

What do you think happens when somone dumps their bike on the freeway with traffic all around them?? You are not only "doing what you love".....you are risking everyone else's safety that is around you.

OK Greg....analize that for me :D

For the swmo stunters, it would be nice if OIR would have a stunt day every once in a while...cuz some of us would LOVE to come and watch...

and by the way, Casey, timothy2003 moved several hundred miles southwest of Spfd...maybe he could give you a new quote....I'm sure it's so he could get even farther away from "you people".... :jk....

Who freaking cares. I get so tired of seeing this same pattern everytime someone posts up something. Not saying anything bad toward anyone but seriously, all he had to do was post up those pics and I could have pretty much written what I thought people would say afterwards and be right. Get over it.

Sweet pics man, Looks like an absolute blast!! I have never gotten to ride with that many bikes at one time in almost 5 years riding street bikes!! Just make sure you always land back on 2:D

I personally don't have a problem with stunters until their actions causes me to to be looked at more than another motorist, And as an idiot.

Wheelies are great

Knee Dragging is great

Doing either on a crowded highway, Or city street... Not such a good idea.

Posting pictures and videos of these actions on public highways is begging the cops to mess with EVERYONE. Why is that so hard to understand?

Everyone likes to ride their bike in a different way, But to post pics and vids bragging about the illegal stunts is just not right.

Pretty soon, This will be happening here, If it continues

Correct.........
Not a stretch to understand that Mr. commuter isn't taking photos/videos with his handy dandy camera phone of a group of "stunters" and taking it to the local police/city council and asking WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS?

We all suffer the consequences soon after.

Gee....I thought it was all the dead cruiser guys. Now it's a little unfair of you to say imply NOT-GAY and his group were holding up traffic since these are still shots and the speed is unknown. I tend to agree with you in spirit tho, that groups of bikers doing stuff that pisses off John Q. Public is moronic. Any activity on a motorcycle can lead to that tho, not just stunting.

Because they choose not to, and at the end of it all it is a personal choice thing, as to what risks to take and when to take them.

A portion of John Q. Public doesn't like you riding your current little bike on the streets, since your "harder" to see then a larger bike. I would agree it is more the "blatant disregard" portion of your comment that carries most of the weight of that statement.

This one is over the top.

A. It's fair to assume, given the fact that it's an interstate, and illegal. NOT any moto-activity can lead to that. Safe, law abiding moto travel doesn't offend 99% of cagers and clearly, given your argument, they hardly notice us.

B. Personal choice of risk.........risks that affect others, and YOUR rights.

C. My current "little" bike is actually full size. Same relative visibility, especially given the fact that I wear reflective, highly visible gear. Moot.

D. Over the top? Yes, it is.

:)

I'll just piss everyone off. If you are on a bike you are a moron that has pissed off the public in some way. Get over it and go ride.

They are some good pics regarless of where they were taken.

Atleast they had gear on or that would be another one everyone would jump on.

If you feel that what some rider did was wrong who cares. Look at it like this. If they get killed doing it then that is one less person giving you a bad name and one less person stealing your oxygen.

I'm just to the point that I'm tired of people complaining about someone breaking the law or giving us all a bad name. Then they go out and do something that has the same effect. There are very few people that can honestly say they have never done it. Regardless if anyone was around or not. There was the possibility that someone could be there and see it. I'm not perfect. I've done alot of things that some people would say give us a bad name. I've calmed down alot since I came back but I'm sure that I have done some things that have done that.

Looks like a big group. Cool pics.

I know that some of us don't necessarily follow ALL the rules/laws but I am a proponent for not doing it too much in the public eye. I do think it promotes a negative image toward other sportbike riders. Yeah I'm sure it's cool to do it in an urban environment with lots of people looking in awe, especially when you can get cool pics with monuments in the background. It does look like he was riding in complete control and about the speed limit so there's that. There will always be a debate about this. Is it cool, yeah. Is riding on one wheel out of control and dangerous? I guess with an inexperienced rider, yes very much so. Would we think differently if it were Frank doing this on the public highways,... maybe. I think we already get hassled enough by the cops and doing this sort of stuff in the public eye probably doesn't help matters, especially when the other people in the cars that are watching could be people of importance, people that can promote/pass laws to outlaw such behavior. It will ALWAYS be a controversial subject with us all just like which oil is best and how to break in an engine. We all have our opinions.

Sure Gregg, I have bent a few laws while riding, who hasn't. I also don't do it intentionally to draw attention to myself. Dont get me wrong, I have alot of respect for those who stunt, It takes alot of practice to accomplish such feats. I know I can't do a stand up wheelie to save my soul, but if i could, I still would not be doing it in on public highway.

Notorious, I like your style, and admire your talent, just not your choice of stage.

Oh man this is an awesome debate. Hahahahaha The one example of the man getting jailed doesn't even apply here. EXCESSIVE SPEED!! My bike tops out at 95!! If anything people get pissed at me for going 5 mph under the speed limit. Why don't I stay in the lot?? Well its fun, but it gets old. I ride a STREET bike. Another thing I don't even do this in Springfield, so it doesn't effect 90% of you. Why do you care? Oh and where these pictures were taken was in a city where i passed 2 state troopers and a county in a wheelie and they looked the other way..hmm They were prolly like damn son that dude is killin it!! Gregg I don't take offense to anything you post. I have kind of caught on to your humor. For that matter I don't take offense to what anyone post because anyone running their keyboard about what someone else does is just jealous anyway. I really get a kick out of it. I have never insulted anyone for the way they or what they ride. Motorcycles are a passion at least for me anyway, and this is just one way I can express it. As far as the general public 90% of the people I encounter on the highway are hanging out the window with camera phones or just goin nuts period. The other 10% can lick my b#$%! I just posted the pics because I know there are a few people on here that can appreciate what I do. Sean thanks for your post.

We all suffer the consequences soon after.

To each his own?

Your wish is my command. :D

Still illegal, still high-risk, still pisses off John Q. Public. It's the "Bart Simpson" approach: "Nobody saw me do it, you can't prove I did it." And are you really trying to suggest that no member of John Q. Public has seen you do something in violation of the traffic laws and not disapproved? Get REAL Ian. Whenever you, I or anyone steps outside of the norm, we piss off someone. You could take the BRAD approach and NEVER break the rules (which of course Brad most likely fails at occasionally).

Where did you get your stats "10x's"?

The point of you going down is...that you ride beyond the legal limit and you are saying their "bad" but I'm "good". B/S, Brad is correct on this point, when you or I choose to step over the legal line in the sand, we go from the "good" side to the "bad" side. Quit trying to qualify your "bad" against their "bad", we are all WRONG when we choose to break the rules.
And yes all of us who do these things on Public Roads are giving "sportbikers" a bad name. Do you honestly think that no one every sees you carving corners?

Good for you, still doesn't give you a pass, any more then it does them. Breaking the rules is still breaking the rules, trying to say one group is a worse at rule breaking then the other group is really kinda of pointless. I'm in agreement with you that rule breaking is best done out of sight.

No it's not. The laws are made with the intent of Public Safety, it's about both. And you still don't get a pass to break the laws when and where you choose and then tell others when and where they can break the laws. Flawed logic buddy.

That is the exact same thing others say the day before, they slide off the country road and kill a kid playing in the field next to the road. I agree with you it is better to play with the edge of physics in the area of the fewest potential victims.

Happens all the time, even to riders NOT breaking the rules, the end effect is the same....twisted metal and broken bodies.

What are your badge numbers?

I have to owe it to you Notorious you guys have dedication! Takes a TON of work, crashes and bumps n brusies to learn what you guys do!!! I think you guys have incredible talent. I do agree with Brad and Colin though that manner in which it's shown off is negative. Perhaps if there were more Stunt Shows and Competitions locally there wouldn't be such a need to do it on the highways huh? Just like for most of us that get our speed fix and knee dragging out at the track. Yeah I'll do some knee draggin on public roads like the image below but for my own enjoyment and not around town or the other drivers to see.

I have a lot of respect for people who can ride on one wheel and keep it under control. It's a lot harder than it looks. I mutter, "dumbass" when somebody pulls one up next to some old granny in a Lincoln Towncar, but if there's no traffic in the immediate area and you're willing to accept the consequences of your actions, go for it and I won't judge you.

This is the Stunt Section. If you're going to be negative about stunts, just ignore this section entirely. Why cause dissent?

Yes the ride was awesome...I love seeing all the different sport bikes out...everything from stsunters to drag racers. Plus the costumes were nice. The nun with theprisoner, the two gorillas, the wonderbread, the present, the superstunter in a mini skirt...and my personal fav bopeep(who I am glad shaves her sheep ;P ) I think there were at the initial start out almost 200 riders...as we blocked all lanes of 255 and 270 after we got on the hiway...I do wonder if the guy in the suv who tried to run us over trying to turn into the middle of us will think of me as he replaces his head light?

I was sorry to see someone go down and hard on 270...was nice that the ambulance was stuck in the traffic right there for him though...his ribs were messed up but he is ok. The escort by the police helicopter was nice all the way down to 370 over by CAB...were we all felt very protected and served especially by the nice hipo at 70 who fliped us the solid "your number 1"! By the time we got back to soco hooters the numbers had dropped off some. The after ride stunt show was nice till we were served and protected to the max...sigh!

I got some pics as well...ill see about throwing them up somewhere although the after party pics I went to may not be safe for work and all that...good times. Little bit better the the ROC ride...although someone needs to have a 3D ride at some point...that way we can give all the rockets a ride...pizza pan spockets can stay home that day...roflmao!

Did you see the big ford pull up about 3 inches away from me while I was doing a highchair? Curry does custom paint on anything bikes, cars, trucks, and his work is some of the best I have seen. I don't know him personally, but some of my friends know him really well.

was it terry that went down and got run over by another couple of riders? idk! I didn't never catch the guys name...just saw it and the after math...it was early in on the ride on 270 not too fardown from the hospital...lol!

I was on the black f4i, as green lantern...I was parked right on the corner of the deli right nextto a 954 and a magna(or how ever it is spelled)...I was all over talking to everyone like always...sure yu saw me. I helped some guy with his exhaust, talked to some guy about hiis ZX14 and the full exhaust he had, the guy on the old school honda 1000, couple of the stunt guys about the round bar set up and tail light mounting, the nun and the chick doing her with the strap on caused me to about fall over the parkinglot...roflmao! if you saw bopeep then you saw me...cause I was helping her with her aaaa sheep ya that's the ticket...plus I really like her tail. the brake light is mounting is golden with her round bar! I personally got a kick out of the green denali taking pics with his phone on 70 just pass the airport by 170 exit who literly bumped me out of the way to chase a stunter down who was fliping him off...wonder if he got a pic of his passenger side mirror getting busted off?

I see aot of people doing the normal bs of bashing stunters and haten...when the real lesson should be for cagers and how to deal with bikes on the road regardless of what the bikes are doing...I watched more tards in their cages about eat the concrete or another car cause they were trying to change lanes and ridemy ass or someone elses buttox...so all of you self rightous riders keep right on haten while the rest of us riders keep pissing in your helmets when your not looking...

And this my friends is the self-righteous part.

We choose the "proper stage" (as defined by us) to use the Public Roads to commit illegal acts, while you others (stunters, lane-spliters, fill in the blank, Gregg, etc.) are choosing the "wrong stage" (as defined by us) to use the Public Roads to commit illegal acts. It doesn't wash, it is disingenuous, we ALL give "sportbikes" a bad name when we do these things. Whether it's doing a wheelie on a Public Freeway or posting up a pic on a "public" website of ourselves "draggen' a knee" at track speed on a Public Road.

Some of the Public who see us doing "what we love" will look and say "WOW that's cool, that guy/gal has skill, sportbikes are good", others will look and say "WOW that's Stupid, what a Moron, there ought to be a Law, sportbikes are bad".

I am in total agreement that the less that John Q. Public sees us doing "what we love" the better, the more public we are...the more "heat" we bring onto ourselves.

Oh, by the way, I'm no saint and even tho I don't do wheelies or drag-a-knee, the way I ride does give "sportbikes" a bad name, I'm a sinner and law-breaker, I'm just not so self-righteous that I claim my shhit don't stink, it does.

Whoopeee.............It's now a religious thread...........
Allah acbar!

Only because YOU have made it one....:)

btw....I agree completely with the first quote here, great job...that's awesome!

Ouch. How many people went down in that mishap? I think the fact that this accident was the result of stunting and therefore the rider's own fault is what some people are trying to point out here. And that it happened on a public roadway in mixed traffic makes it easier to flame. :fthrow

Tards? Maybe. But you'd have to expect motorists to be distracted because of the huge group of bikes and pissed off because the bikes are blocking off the entire right-of-way. I know some people in cars who get nervous just when driving next to a motorcyclist who's riding on two wheels so in a situation like that you, as the motorcyclist, would really need to exercise a little more caution.

If the bikers were flipping people off and disregarding traffic laws and common courtesy, you can't blame the cagers. The cagers own the road. There's no reason for any car to chase down a motorcycle (he flipped you off, get over it), but there's also no reason to destroy someone's property (mirrors, e.g.). Common sense should prevail on everybody's part.

Can't we all just get along? :p

1 guy went down and that was it...it was not entirely his faukt someon cliped him from behind during an endo...

but there's also no reason to destroy someone's property (mirrors, e.g.). Common sense should prevail on everybody's part.

last time I checked it was nt too smart to try and run a motorcyclist down in your suv...but hey I could be wrong on that part...as I child when I did something wrong I was punished and learned not to do it again, so if a cager does something tarded to one of us I think some form of punishment is required for retribution...so busting a mirror off will make that person think twice before doing it cause it wasn't like the cop who watched did jack crap except jerk his gerkin somemore on the side of the road...

to answer the ? Terry is going to be ok....sore but ok...that was the last update I got ill know more after the party or at it...lol

now where are the helmets of the self rightous motorcyclist at?

I'm just to the point that I'm tired of people complaining about someone breaking the law or giving us all a bad name. Then they go out and do something that has the same effect. There are very few people that can honestly say they have never done it. Regardless if anyone was around or not. There was the possibility that someone could be there and see it. I'm not perfect. I've done alot of things that some people would say give us a bad name. I've calmed down alot since I came back but I'm sure that I have done some things that have done that.

Simple and to the point. Well said!!!!!

I didn't think Johnny was a wanna be considering he can do most of what you see frrom Cali to NY, I didn't know you had to have a t.v. show and a six figure income to stunt or be considered a stunter.

And yeah Johnny can do a wheelie alot of us on here like to watch him do them too. Just because he has rubbed you the wrong way at some point doesn't mean you gotta b**** everytime he post. Well unless of course your one of those people who get off on getting on people. So for now I'm going to sit back and watch you girls gossip.

WOW...johnnie learned how to do a wheelie...whoopee...who cares, it's been done before. So what?

If you love what you're doing, great, enjoy yourself. But stunting a bike doesn't make you better then anyone else, it ain't rocket science, it's just repetitive learning in practice.

OK Greg....analize that for me :D

so since you bought the new helmet that sees around corners your able to go RIDE HARD on country back raods??!! hahah please! you put people in danger jus the same!!!

when a big broup of big go out like they are in the pics... theres what we call the SQUID SHIELD to protect us from cops and traffic... and yeah we may hold up some people but thats why we call it traffic!!!! i posted a vid on here of my buddy goin down on the freeway!!! only hurt himself!!! go ahead watch it its a good hit!!!

people r gonna say what they say and thats life, but fact of the matter is its neither us stunters or the kneedraggers givin us a bad name its NEW people on sportbikes that dont have any business on one and probably not very smart in the first place KILLING themselves doin stupid **** they dont know how to do or just out of just not havin enough seat time. yall are bein immature pointin fingers at each others like some little *****ES or something instead of having a intelligent debate about it. first off the only places u get big packs ridin slow wheelies holdin up traffic is big cities, and i got news, there are no big cities in southwest missouri. and yes there are lots of twisties for u corner guys to get your rocks off. in other places i would say that neither of the groups are the problem its the new people but bein as southwest missouri is chock full of good twisties it is most likely the KNEE draggers givin the bad name in this area. not pointin fingers just stating the fact that there are WAY more knee draggers in this particular area. many of which prob dont even come on this site.in this case its almost like the kettle callin the pot black. Personally i dont see any of this BAD publicity anyways as far as i know everybody loves sportbikes even the cops lol.

Sean I don't have a problem with wheelies, high-chairs, stunting, knee-dragging, carving-the-twisties, exceeding the limit or any other form of personal pleasure. As far as I'm concerned, as long as what anyone does, doesn't effect others, go for it. That's the best part of a joyful life.

Little johnnie's stunting doesn't rub me in any direction at all.

I'm just responding to "little johnnie speak"
