So I have seen many pictures of a group of people riding there 50s on the street. I was wandering is that legal, I knew it used to be but is it still? A friend told me that they changed the law and they can't be ridden on the streets any more. Just trying to claitify.

You're WRONG, and should stop spreading these terrible lies/rumors.

He's only banning motorcycle tires.

Haha, but really am I going to get in trouble for riding on the street? As fun as getting pulled over is, I don't want it to happen.

Its legal... i have been pulled over lately and the cop has no idea if its legal or not so... he right away thinks its illegal for some weird reason lol but you almost have to kindly tell him about the law of 50 riding... ya that sometimes makes them kinda mad too but if you look guilty you probably are and that where they get you. So just let them talk and be cool... Mo statute has not changed since 1979 make a copy of it and laminate it and put it in your bar pad.

The state statute has not changed, but they did add a Springfield City ordinance. If it has a VIN and is considered a "motorized bicycle" then it is legal during daylight hours.

It depend on where you lights are. Here are the motorized bicycle laws which would apply to a "fiddy". http://www.modot.mo.gov/othertransportation/bike_ped/documents/MO_bikelaw_August05.pdf
