It can be difficult and confusing. The MOST important part is to figure out WHY the seal went out. Seals should last a LONG time. You hear of guys saying "This is the 4th set I have put in this year". When you have the tube apart, run a piece of cotton ball down it, anything, repeat, ANYTHING that snags it needs to be sanded down.

I just found a fork seal leaking on my zx-11. I may call him too if that's alright. Mine probably went out due to age...the bike has been sitting most of its life.
but I have another question...should I do both at the same time? because only the left one is leaking.

If it is due to age, I would recommend both.

Depending on the year of your CR they could be twin chambers
and they will require specialty tools that very few will have.
