Just to let you know.... I have had 2 seperate friends call me and tell me park rangers have been out there a lot lately.
I use to buy the year pass, but never once got checked riding out there. I soon began only buying passes when I stopped to get gas or food before riding (maybe 50% of the time).
Unfortunately it's not the passes that are the big deal... They closed a bunch of trails and marked them off with ribbon, well riders have been knocking down the ribbion leaving the trails unmarked yet still closed. The park rangers are mad and are now just waiting at the end of trails with a sweet $125 ticket for riding off the approved trails.
Seems a little like entrapment to me, but still it's happening and unfortunatley it's easier to pay $125 than take it to court for a fair outcome! BEWARE :)
