As one of the many visitors here "outside the loop", I merely observe and comment, but hey that's my nature.

I'm most likely guiltier then most at not seeing what I post in public having a different effect then the same said in private, but hey that's my nature.

The "ignore function" sorta defeats the purpose of a "public" site, kind of a "I'm gonna close my eyes and stick my fingers in my ears and say nah-nah-nah a lot" button.

If the rawness of my comments and observations causes you some discomfort, please feel free to use the "ignore" button next to my name and join the "lotsa folk" list, I won't be offended in the least.

My "can of worms" .....hmmm.......an dark and foreboding place to be sure. I guess what bugs me regarding you is that you have such great depth to you and yet offer such a shallow version of yourself, I suppose you are right and I just don't "get it".

In fact just yesterday, I had a problem with my car, and I phoned a forum member before I phoned my own father. At coffee last night, I had 4 forum members under the hood of my car in Starbux parking lot. That to me is more valuable than any banter coming from you.

I was one of those under the hood.........Why don't you post that question to Tom himself based on our interactions. This had nothing to do with my "personal relationship" with my father. It had to do with the fact that I felt confident enough that the friends Ive made from this "helpful community" could help me with my problem. As far as you asking how this is relevent to how we treat each other on this public forum? I was merely stating, that I have made several good friends from this forum, and those friends are dependable enough to call personally on the phone and ask for help.

yea, its tough...it actually was causing me physical pain at one time. i drink a lot of coffee and chew gum a lot...seems to help. i try to also not be around people when then smoke because it makes me want one to much. i just kinda find something to do while the are puffing then come back in a few mins.

drinking alcohol and being around it leads to failure i have also found.

good luck and congrats. the first month is the hardest and then it slowly gets easier.
