Anyone up for a Saturday ride? Its supposed to be sunny and 53-57 degrees.

Maybe make it an 11:00am meet and 11:30am departure so it will be a bit warmer? Any requests on destination?

Who's all in?

I dont know if we'll be going as far as push mountain. Maybe 125 across the ferry and further south if people wish to go that far.

So what time? Last fall, we were leaving at 9 and gettign back around 3:30, if we leave around 11, we won't get back until 5:30 or later. Shouldn't be a problem, it doesn't get real cold until later than that.

I hate you all so much right now.

I think I'm just going to quit my job and become a professional panhandler .

I was just going to play guitar, or maybe do a little soft shoe.

I was going to go with Mime, but mimes are so creepy.

It would be nice to leave earlier but I think it might be too chilly for some dont you think Doug? What time YOU think we should meet/leave? Wanna meet at our Ozark usual or our secondary Ozark usual Doug?

Weather looks fine until after 6 tomorrow so if we grab lunch at a fast food place and don't take an hour like we would at Cliff house, we should be fine meeting at the QT in Ozark at 10:30 and leaving at 11. We should still be able to ride to the Cliff house and turn around there, even though it won't be open for lunch and it will be 230 when we get there :D

Go staright down Hwy 65 until you get to the exit for Hwy 14 (main Ozark exit, its after the Tracker boat trailer plant) get off there and you will see QT and probably some bikes.

Have fun and remember (EVERYONE) ride at YOUR own pace, your not racing!!!! Have fun and keep the bike on the road. Four of the people going for sure know 125 really well. The rest I have never ridden 125 with except maybe once. When in doubt slow down and if anyone gives you crap about being slow tell em to kiss your ass, better slow and sure than being semi fast and dead!!!!  Have fun and take it easy.

12. Ike- founder of Ikewear!

We are meeting at 10:30am leaving at 11am from the QT in Ozark!

For those of you that don't know, the Cliff House Inn is in Arkansas. This is an "Iron Butt" ride for those of you that are used to riding around town only. Bring a map or know where your going if you plan on turning around early. We will most likely take 14 east out of Ozark to 125. 125 South to Bull Shoals Lake. Cross the ferry. 125 south to 14. 14 west to 7. 7 south to Harrison. Continue on 7 to Cliff House. All in all about what 200 miles or so Doug?

What a great ride today!! We had several new or newer riders that went with us. Big shout out to Bret(I think that was his name), he really impressed me with his riding today! He said he had never riden 125 before, I asked him if he wanted me to follow him just in case anything, he rode his own ride, didn't try and "keep up" and rode some very clean lines.

As for the ride, we tried a couple of different things today. When we were at the QT and putting on our helmets, I made sure to say to everyone a couple of time that this isn't a race and for everyone to have fun and ride their own ride today. When we took off, for the first part of the ride, we had some riders that had never riden 125 so Hooter and CNI lead the way and I was the clean up rider from the QT to Billy Jacks. This really seemed to work well when the group has a wide range of rider experience.

After we crossed the ferry, there was a group of faster guys that rode ahead and I kind of lead the slower group by keeping what I thought was a decent pace, but I tried to keep it down to around 70-80 in the straights so the slower riders could keep up but in the curves, I would ride at a "spirited"(squid's word :D) pace but make sure I could still see the rider behind me after I was out of the corner. This seems to be a good technique if the riders are all fairly close in riding experience and ability.

What did the rest of you guys think about the ride today?

Today's ride was AWESOME! :D Great ride everyone. Sorry that a few of you couldn't join us for Hwy 7 down to The Cliff House Inn. The roads were clear and the corners were tight. I can't wait for Daylight Savings time so we can hit Hwy 123 in Ar-kansas.

Three cheers for Bret and Thadd for riding their rides today. Glad to see you guys weren't pressured to keep up with us.

Had a great time guys. Look forward to riding with ya'll soon.

MAN! What a GREAT ride! It was soooo beautiful out today, and WARM!

I can't believe that I got a knee down, that was awesome. And that 4th gear power wheelie I pulled, man, I didn't know my bike had so many horses, where have they been hiding all this time?

And the umbrella girls that showed up, that was pretty sweet too.

Oh, wait. That must have been a daydream I had today while listening to customers ***** at me. Dang.

Glad you guys had a good time!

Sorry I could not make it today. Saturdays I have to open the store as Lucky works real late on Fri and Sat nights and we let him come in a little later than norm. Anyways, with all the sun shine, the shoppers keep coming in, most did not buy anything  But, I could not leave him all alone, with him being so new.

We did get to ride some after work. Lucky just bought two new tires, a D&D slip on, and dropped two teeth off the front. So we had to check in out and see if he can get more than a 20 foot wheel hanger.

Long story short, it made a big difference on his 600, and I think he is pleased. The new tires were badly needed, if any of you remember, during the Branson Toys 4 Tots run, he was on cords about 1 1/2 wide on the rear. He threw on a used Battleaxe for the last few months, but it was too slick before it was put on.

OK, OK, that was not a long story short, it was more a short story long:D

Glad you all had fun today, maybe next time.

Remember, fuzzy side up kids.

Deb and I had a great time. Sorry I didn't post yesterday but our day was FULL. I'm really impressed with you guys......your rides are well planned and everybody is very nice and respectful. There's some very impressive talent out there as well :). Hopefully next time we can go the whole route and sit and have lunch with the gang. Thanks and I can't wait for next time. This picture isn't very good but it marks a good time:
