Beautiful bike, great condition and I love the color. Good luck with the sale. Which do you like better, the zx10r or the R1?

zx10r no comparison, selling the r1 to get a motard.

I've ridden both and liked the R1 much better. Curious to hear the reasons for picking a 10 over the R1. The R1 motor seemed so much smoother and the power delivery was so smooth.

I have heard around the internet much more praise for the R1 -- but I always assumed it was a Glock/Springfield argument, as they're so similar in spec.
I too am curious as to your reasoning, is it just that one of them is 3 years newer?

Engine does not feel like it has any of the power/guts the zx10r has. The zx10r is just a better bike in my opinion especially stock. I can't stand the handling of the r1 and the huge front end. It just doesnt feel as well built. Brakes are horrible as well.

WOW! after hearing all that I just have to buy this R1. Please describe in detail how well the seat gives you monkey butt and if the tank knocks you in the nutz under heavy braking.

The tank does kill my nuts its much more narrow were you connect then other bikes, even when not braking. I prefer my 01 r6 over the r1.

Eh I see what you're saying but IMO it helps more than it hurts -- I'd rather buy from a seller who can honestly say the bike isn't for him rather than saying it's the best bike in the world he's just wanting to go in a different direction, he's having a baby, etc. or some other bs.

Yup, I am not saying its not a good bike, I just don't like it. It's also not what I need it for. If I make the zx10r a track bike and I want something for just around town and screwing around, I don't need another liter bike. Others might love the handling and hate the handling of the zx10r, doesn't bother me one way or another cause I would rather ride what I feel has better performance in my mind. Just how like justen likes the r1 more.
