View Full Version : Trouble accessing at work
Title may be a little misleading, as I can access the site just fine, while at work. But, when I log on, every single time I click on a thread, or go to the Warroom, or post, or ANYTHING, I have to re-enter my log in info. It will show me online, but up in the right hand corner, Im not. If I go to the warroom, (which is fun to do on slow days, to read over the past year), I have to type my name and password every single time I go to another page. Its really annoying. Im wondering if this is because of a security wall my work has up, or if this can be fixed internally, by admin? Anyone else have this issue?

Sounds like your browser doesn't like the websites cookies... :) And as far as showing the people that are online, those are only people that where active with in the last five minutes.

While I really appreciate the advice, this is not something Im going to ask the IT dept about. :nutz

cookies contain information that the site reads. If you set it to ignore cookies you wont' be able to login AT ALL.

The reason i said ask your IT is because if your in a place where your cookie settings have been changed so that it doesnt retain them then you will more then likely not have the user rights to change it. If however you do have the user rights let us know what browser you are using and i am sure we can walk you through how to change these settings.

Meh, i use firefox everywhere! but if there are IE specific websites, I use IE tab.
I use google chrome at home...love it. But at work, Ive just been using what was already set up on the computer. I could change the browser if I wanted to, its just not that important. I use the internet for this site, and looking up Drs, meds, and symptoms. So, google and swmo, thats about it. Do you think changing browsers would help with this problem?
