Besides Chadwick, are there any places around here to ride ATV's and Dirtbikes? I like Chadwick, but something different is always nice. I know plenty of places that are 3+ hours away....but is there anything that is under a 1.5-2 hour drive?

Anyone got a ton of land they would donate for a days worth of riding?? :)

Thanks! :D

i've heard people talk about a place around ozark called grayfox, but i'm not all that sure where it is. there is also the hurcules glade area, along 125 south of bradleyville. a friend of mine rides his atv down there a lot and i've done some hunting down there. there is a lot of land there, and wild hogs are supposed to be all over the place now (though i've not seen them myself) so it might be fun to bring a firearm too.

That sounds like fun! I didn't know you could run around on atv's down there....I thought it was only hiking, biking, and horses.

i'll get ahold of my buddy who actually rides there and ask where exactly down there he rides. i know that there are miles and miles of old logging and fire road there that atvs are aloud, but i think i remember him saying that he road on trails besides those.

there's a place in phillipsburg called hard knox park. i went there a couple years ago and they had a lot of good trails. they were in the process of building a track for quads too, but if you catch them at a good time they'll let you ride your quad on the dirtbike track

Anyone ever been out to Deepwater up by Clinton? What's it like?

I was going to mention deepwater. It's a lot of rolling hills in the woods right next to the lake. The actual riding area depends on the lake levels. Sandy, loamy trails with lots of jumps, whoops, and the like. It's very nice.

Bring your cooler for Osceola cheese.

St. Joe National Park is a good one too. A lot of sand and a lot of trails and no huge rocks in the trails!

St. Joe is awesome!! I've been out there a few times and I love it!! It's kind of a long drive though...around 5 hrs if I remember right. It makes for a great weekend trip though....I love running around in the sand :D

I didn't realize there was anything up in St. Joe area. Sounds like fun. I wish I saw this before the weekend, I just went out to my dad's land for a while on Sunday. Yeah, I was mad it was nice thursday, Friday, and Saturday and rained on Sunday. It was fun nonetheless. Do you ride dirt bikes or ATV's? We like to keep our single track ATV-less as to not ruin the trail too much.

Also, I might be taking a trip to Chadwick March 12-13th overnight. I will probably be the only bike, the 3 others on ATV's.

It's no where near the city of ST. Joe, that's just the name of the riding area and its located over in the eastern part of the state.

You will need a county permit, flag, and slow moving vehicle triangle to ride Glade Top. You CAN NOT ride in Hercules Glades. But you can ride Glade Top and all the access trails.
That goes for ATV's. They don't allow dirt bikes unless they are licensed dual sports.
