Everyone knows that I do car and bike parts, but there is so much more that can be coated. Popular home and garden items I coat include air registers, plant stands, lawn furniture, tools (including textures for grip), garden gates and trellises
B4 and after

this is a before and after of the air register in my bathroom. Powder stands up to walking on and sweeping no problem. Now if I could just figure out how to get the rust stain out of the floor! Full color selection is available and there are actually more colors that can be used inside than outside

That is cool. I've been thinking about doing some stuff on my dirt bike. Do you have a list of prices you've done for people? I know everything is different, but if I had an idea of surface area to cost and color I may be interested.
Thanks!

Well that's really the crux of it, color does make a difference, a huge difference.
Lets say a 1 step powder - standard wet black
the product get stripped, blasted, out gassed (a pre bake to remove oils/ comtaminents from the pores of the metal) chemically treated, and then spray`d and baked.
2 step powder - Chrome
all of the above, then a MEK bath, air bath, wait to dry, layer of clear powder, bake done.
3 step powders (candies/dormant/transparent) - Candy green (johnny's frame)
all of the 2 step stuff, but replace the clear with the candy and then let it cool to room temp, layers of mek and usually 2 coat of clear. This is full custom work with up to 5 layers of powder.
With powder your really paying for labor. The most expensive normal powders are 20ish a pound, and chemicals cost about 3-10 a part. That's why I don't upcharge.
If you stick with a 1 step opaque powder I can really work with prices, but if I spend 6-10 hours with your pieces it will be more expensive because so much time is dedicated to your parts. Clear as mud?
