Bike alarms... discuss

Thinking about getting an alarm for the Kawi. I know nothing about them, other than what I have briefly researched through manufactures' websites.

Are they more of a PIA than they are worth (false alarms, etc.)? How about the DIY installs; are they really as easy as they claim?

I had the scorpio SRi-600 (http://www.cruisin66cycles.com/productdetail.htm?productId=7900055) system on my hayabusa, and i think sharon has it on her r6 still. has the remote that will alert you up to 1/4 mile away. i'll give it my professional recommendation. latest version is the SRi-900 RFID, here (http://www.cruisin66cycles.com/productdetail.htm?productId=7899841)

I just got a gorrila i the mail free with my undertail kit. Look pretty easy to install. Unsure of false alarms tho
