I have been missing events due to Parkview baseball. Several of you have inquired about how we're playing so I thought I would let you know in a post.
We were in West Plains last night, didn't get home until after 11:30. We won 18 to 8 (yep, that is a baseball score). It was not pretty, but we had four homeruns, including a grand slam to win by run rule. Our current record is 11-6. Our OC competitors look to be Joplin (only one loss in conference), Kickapoo, and Glendale.
Mathyus and Doug came out to games last year, if anyone else wants to see a home game here is our remaining schedule:
Apr 21 Camdenton
Apr 25 Glendale
Apr 26 Kickapoo
Apr 28 @ Hillcrest
May 16 District Tournament

Ned Reynolds picked us to go 18-9 (that's optimistic) for the season and duke it out with Kickapoo and Joplin for the title.

Again, thanks for asking and come out to a game and enjoy the nice spring weather:D

Anyone who is a baseball fan really just wants to see a good game. Any fan can take a loss if they have seen a well played game. It is really cool just to see some good baseball in Springfield. It is no longer uncommon to see pitchers throwing above 85mph, turning double plays, trhows from the outfield to home plate. Good stuff!

When I was in Branson with you and Mathyus at that game, I really thought the HS players were better than the players I had seen the week before at the Ducks game!

Last night we saw a sophomore in a JV game throw from right field to home to prevent a run. It was something to see.

Outside of a couple of the Ducks, I'm sure you did see some kids that were more talented at the H.S. game.

Last night was bad...I wasn't at the game due to a Student Council scholastic event; but, the team lost to Camdenton.

Would not have minded too much, except that game was their first victory:( ...not the secure feeling you want going against Glendale and Kickapoo next week.
One player has a bad night, two costly errors in the field and a base running error, and we lose 8 to 7. Is it a team effort or what?
