A complete ABS tail section for your bike. The plastics come from Hong Kong, which means weeks of waiting for shipping and customs, but this was a great transaction. I had reservations about how well they'd fit and whether or not I'd be drilling holes, but the things snapped together and lined up almost perfectly! Here's the link to the eBay seller, Moto-777 (http://myworld.ebay.com/moto-777&ssPageName=STRK:MEFSX:SELLERID) and his store (http://stores.ebay.com/mung88).

And here are my new plastics!

Was the gap from the rear of the seat cowl to the tail bodywork as wide on the stock tail section?

I hafta admit, the fit n' finish looks pretty good for $111!

The side plastics do have a slightly larger gap where they mate to the center piece, especially toward the rear where the tab fits into the slot by the turn signals. But, it's very slightly larger, and I'm not unhappy with it. To be honest, I started out thinking, "These things are going to be sloppy and I'll have to do some work to make them fit right, but the price can't be beat and I'll just suck it up if it's not pretty." With the way it turned out I couldn't possibly be happier and getting them from eBay and waiting for nearly a month for them to ship saved me about $700 over OEM.

I still need to get my left turn signal assembly and some more snap fasteners and I'm good to go. :)

Oh, you were asking about the solo seat cowl? Hang on and I'll do a comparison shot...

The sizing on the seat cowls is identical. I think the reason the gap looks larger is because I just sat the cowl on top of the tail without all of the mounting and latching hardware.

I was actually wondering about the tailsection "mate" line. I didn't realize you had gotten a new cowl, too.

There were parts for Buells that released similarly a few years ago. The first sets were apparantly pretty good (and VERY competitively priced) but the quality dropped immensely shortly after, and then the longevity of the parts was sub-standard.

I've seen a lot of aftermarket plastics that are pretty good, but usually don't fit well with the OE stuff. (If you "buy it all from them, it all fits well" kind of thing). Yours looks pretty good, especially for the price.
