Just checking the waters to see if there would be any interest in having a 50cc pit bike class at Polk County Speedway near Bolivar.

Rules? My MB5 would rule that class.
Er, if it ran.

I think if you promoted it with a small purse for winnings you could probably even make a few classes out of it. Is it going to be flat track racing, parking lot, MX style?

i think its the old go-kart track at snow bluff isn't it? If you're talkin motarded 50s I think it'd be awesome!

If you are making it Supermoto that would be awesome and would attract a lot of people!

I thought Polk County speedway was the dirt oval just south of Biolivar?

It is the track just south of Bolivar we moved from Snow Bluff last year.
What we are considering is using turns 1&2 and then cutting a new corner through the infield with a small jump or two.

i googled it and it looks like it is a 1/6 mile dirt oval. I could have sworn I saw some karts racing on the old snow bluff kart track
edit:

If some of you guys want to come out Friday September 10th we can set up a class and run you guys on the oval as a money class or just for fun with a pit pass.
It would be a good chance to check the place out and talk about what we could do to make racing with us a regular deal.

Here is a you tube link of some kart racing at the track.

This is the actual track? :)
I'm all in. Some full size bike action would be pretty sweet too!

If it looks like fun I'd be likely to buy a bike to ride there.

I think some flat track racing would be really fun. As few rules as possible, but try and make it to where who ever has the most money doesnt always win. Like maybe a tire rule and stock appearing suspension. All the power in the world wont matter if the bike doesnt hook up, or tries to flip you. If you guys get something going for the 10th I will be there with mine.

We will work with you guys to get the rules and classes just like you want them.
This season is nearly over but there is time to run a few races and talk about what you guys might be interested in for next season.

I make it the car track (asphalt) in Bolivar every so often on a Friday night ... Didn't know there's a smaller dirt track nearby. My son might get a kick out of that!
