I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust for my 03' 600RR. What's a good sounding exhaust that isn't to expensive? Who's got the best prices in town? Just need the muffler....not a full system. I've heard that the yoshimura is pretty inexpensive.
Thanks

It will scream, you can trust me on that one.

I've heard the yosh also. I think it has a real nice sound.

I've got the Jardine and yeah it's loud. Got mine on ebay and ear plugs weren't included.

I wish I would of thought to take off my old pipe before insurance took my bike. I could have sold it easily :(

Flatout could possibly get you the best deal. You have to call them to get a better price. Mention you are on 600RR.net or here for a discount.

The Jardine sounds like a great deal...but I don't want the thing to give me sore ears just from driving around town. How does it compare to the Yosh as far as sound goes? I don't want the loudest bike in town.....just louder than stock :D
Thanks

Take a look at the gpr exhaust for the cbr's. They are only sold through 1888fastlap.com

Has anybody seen or heard Micron exhaust for the '05? Here's a link to a web site with them--for other years too.

They don't have any dyno charts for an '05 600rr. But I really like the looks of the stainless dual outlet for the '05. I'm just curious about the performance factor of the exhaust. I know each bike is different, but how about micron for another application, anybody ever deal with micron?

I have a Micron slip on for my 01 R6 and it sounds awsome. It's the perfect blend of Quiet and Loud. Doesn't bother you riding around town but it screams when you twist the joy handle.

I've got a yosh on mine. Sounds awsome and is the only can made specifically for our bike. The others are just adapted to fit.

Well I went ahead and ordered the Jardine Race Baffle. Hopefully it's not to loud. :D

Jardine says the race baffle is 109 dB loud. Which is honestly going to be screeeeeeeeeeeaming loud. Its not to bad with a helmet on though.

Doesn't Jardine sell some kind of small insert for that pipe that is designed to quiet it up a bit? Anyone tried one of those? Anyone got a pic?
i just purchased some exhaust from the "dirt bike shop" on south campbell. they had great prices on most the brands i checked on

Well my Jardine RS-1 slip-on came in today. I had it installed in little over an hour. At first I didn't think it was very loud....but after getting the bike out on the street for a few minutes I started to get a headache. It's not to bad between 4000-6000 rpms, but anything higher or lower really gets to my ears. I think the worst is when you take off from a dead stop.....at around 3000 rpms it really starts to resonate inside my helmet...it's like sticking your head inside a speaker box. On the highway I can barely hear it, but anytime else it's pretty loud.
Jardine sells an insert that you can put in the outlet of the exhaust that's supposed to quite it up a bit...I might get one of those and try it.
I'll definitly be wearing earplugs from now on....probably a good idea no matter how loud the exhaust is.
On a scale of (1 to 10), if the stock exhaust was a 2....this thing is a 12. Even though I would like something right in the middle...this will have to do for now.
Time to buy some earplugs
