Last year, we had them stand there while every member of the board slapped them and told them to speed up :D

So tell me guys, what are the rules to this slow mans drag race? How far will the slow strip be? etc? Will there be an entrance fee or is it just for ****s and giggles? Info please.

Ok, this might sound really stupid but what the heck is a slow drag? Is it just to see who can go the slowest down a strip practically just balancing the bike? I showed up to the bike show last year but it was after a lot of the festivities including the slow drags.

I'm pretty sure that's what it is. The last one across the finish line wins. I had that one in the bag with the old bike. Knew it so well at stop lights I practically didn't have to put a foot down (if I timed the light right) http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/coolgleamA.gif

If that's the case I better tie some pillows on my fairings that way when I lose my balance it won't damage my frame sliders!

Rulez are basicly this..

when the light goes green your feet have to come off the ground and you have to keep moving forward .. "as slow as you can"

last year the "strip" was about... humm maybe... 50 feet or so... the first one to make it to the end or if you put one/both feet down.. you lose !

its alot of fun... we had probably 20-25 people do it last year.. and everyone was watching..

The slow drag was a blast last year. I think the best race was between SugaRay and TJ! They were pretty much going 1mph side by side the whole way!

Yeah, that was some good racing. Since it was bracket, that was rough on those two... because you know SOMEONE is getting eliminated.

I did not participate, however Randy and I did a "Slow Wheelie Race" as a warm up to the real deal.

ANyone up for a ride prior to the show? My wife gave me the day to go riding and it's been so long, so I wanna make the most of it. I'm up for Hwy 125 and back or if you SPFLD guys have a good route closer I am up for that as well. I usually am up for it even if it rains, but my rear is shagged, so no wet roads until I get a new bun on the rear.

I got all the Flyers to all the bikes shop/sponsors today... so hopfully you will see the up this week

They should show up at all the Hardee's locations tomorrow !
