Ok, after I got my kit and Fisdu seemed to like it (I know I do) I thought I might do some looking.

I think you could use the following parts to "build" your own kit a little cheaper.

This is the expensive part.

These are cake. If you look on ebay you can find the levers for like 8 bucks each. The brake cable listed might not be long enough but give you a "general idea" of what it will take to build your own Vs. buying a kit.

Brian, in that last post of yours where the guy fabricated his own rear brake set up, how hard would it be to add a bracket like you used on yours so you could have both hand and pedal rear brake?

Depending on the cable set up I don't think to hard. Once you got the cable and lever we could probably build something at the house.

you dont think it may be easier to fix the cable onto the foot brakes bar?
