Been out of the fiddy game for a while and it seems that the craze is gone from what I have seen. Is this true or have I just not paid close enough attention? I just dont hear a lot about them anymore.

Holdfast and I were just discussing this. 50 Inc seems to still have several people in the group, but for sure it seems as if there are not nearly as many people that ride them.

Thats what I was thinking Frank. I just never hear the 50 talk anymore. I figured Randy and those guys were still at it some and even though Joplin is smaller than Springfield our town has kinda faded out too.....or maybe since I work a lot and have a wife and two kids I just dont see them as much:)

There are definitely still people riding them in Springfield. Not near as many as there were, but I think riding the streets on a fiddy gets boring quick especially with the cops messing with people now. The Branson Mini Super Moto should spark people's interest back up. I would think anyway if not I'm going to have a killer private track to ride on!

Most of the guys I rode fiddys with outside of Randy and Co (diehards) have switched to street-legal supermoto, including me. My XR400 is gonna be nails come spring...

dans bike is going to be nice. I still rock my 50 though on some days. There are still a lot of people that ride them. Just dont ride them as much. I stick with the big bike most times.

Wasn't the so-called 'lead protection' legislation that got passed a few years ago a major factor in the decline of the 50cc off-road market?

I didn't hear about that, so it's a good possibility.

Whatever happened with the lead protection stuff? I know there was a big organization fighting to get that modified.
