Wow. Not sure I've ever seen more inappropriate use of video to drum up business.

Warning...the video is not for the squeamish.

http://www.ignatius-piazza-front-sig...hooting/#video

If any of you know people considering a FrontSite class, I would hope you would strongly urge them to reconsider. It's one thing to use this video during academy training, departmental training, etc. It's another to throw it on your website to pimp your civilian firearm training courses.

What isn't mentioned is that this officer had recently been reprimanded for drawing his firearm during a traffic stop. As such, he was extremely reluctant to do so here. He was afraid of losing his job, and it cost him his life.

How do you think his wife and daughter feel about seeing this video on the web? It's my understanding that the NRA has agreed to pull his adverts from all of their publications. I may be incorrect in this.

Using that footage to sell your civilian firearms training course is way over the line.
I'm sure this thread will evolve into a right n' wrong argument pretty quickly.

I agree with Bmonnig on the appropriateness of the video on that site (or lack of). I'm staying out of the rest of it.

That officer gave that low-life scumbag way too much latitude. Also, way too many shots were fired. This is one of those cases where the perp does not deserve a trial, just catch him and put him in front of a firing squad, shooting him from the knees upward, slowly until he suffers a long, painful death.

As for Front Sight - their training specifically caters to making sure your shots count. Perhaps the family gave them permission to use this vid?

Maybe so, but I can think of infinitely more tactful ways to market such training...

...unless, this. Truthfully, not something I even considered. If the family has given permission, then no one else should get to complain. They've suffered the most.

Somehow, though, I doubt this is the case.

they have a banner on armslist or gunlistings that says theyre giving away a "free" XD to help you prepare for whats coming. It shows a picture of a riot police force running. these guys like to use "scare" tactics to drum up business obviously. I think I'll write them an e-mail that says how gay they are.

Have you priced out that "free" XD? It's only "free" when you pay for their $1300 (iirc) classes...

The audio is pretty tough to listen to at the end. I agree that this is a d-bag move on front site's part. No class at all.

I see what they are going for, but overall just sick. Have we reached this point in desensitization that a majority are okay with this?

Some would argue that its the overwhelming amount of violence in video games..........

450s, I'm not sure which is more appalling - hearing two men die screaming like that, or your "in awe" response. Really, if you happen to read your post again, I hope you would realize that you yourself did not think before you typed what you did.
